Episode 9 -What is HypnoBirthing with Anthea Thomas?
What is HypnoBirthing? What does it teach? Will it prepare me for birth? Will it prepare my partner for birth? Am I “ under hypnosis”? Can I do Hypnobirthing if I am planning intervention or a hospital birth (yes you absolutely can is the answer btw!)?
When we first become pregnant it can be confusing and over whelming knowing where to even start with birth preparation education. So for this episode we are going to chat all about what HypnoBirthing is and what it offers as well as debunk some of the many myths surrounding this comprehensive childbirth preparation class.
And who better to chat HypnoBirthing with then the Vice President of the HypnoBirthing® International Institute- Anthea Thomas!
Anthea Thomas
In addition to being the Vice President Internationally for HypnoBirthing, Anthea is also the director and Faculty Trainer of HypnoBirthing International in Australia.

She is focused on helping people find their unlimited potential in all areas of life, and on helping women to rediscover their natural birthing instincts and works to provide couples with information about their bodies, the birth process, how their mind affects conception and birth helping to empower them to take control of their own journey.
In this episode we chat about:
- Anthea’s own incredibly heartfelt inspirational story of how she first learnt about HypnoBirthing
- Anthea’s own personal experience with having a VBAC and how HypnoBirthing completely removed her partners and her own fears for that birth.
